Lynn Lemon, county executive The local Red Cross Disaster Welfare Inquiries services are available for anyone who has relatives or loved ones in any of the affected areas. You may call the Red Cross at 752-1125 for assistance in making those contacts. Red Cross blood services are being called into Salt Lake City to assist in the distribution of services and products to the East Coast. If you wish to give blood, the blood service collection sites may not be open at this time because they are being pulled back to Salt Lake City. The Cache County Emergency Operations Center in Logan will monitor events related to the terrorist attacks in the eastern United States. Officials at the center, which is housed in the basement of the Sheriff's Office and mobilizes during an emergency, emphasized that there is no known threat to Cache County. The center announced shortly after noon Tuesday, about five hours after the attack on the World Trade Center towers in New York City, that it was scaling back its operations.
