Basketball schedule boasts TV time

Utah State will play Utah on TV this year.

This week, USU announced the games that will be televised on SportsWest and Fox Sports Net during the 2000-01 season.

SportsWest, a production company of Salt Lake City's KSL-TV will broadcast two Aggies games this year, while Fox Sports Net will feature USU once during the season. Utah State won the Big West Conference last season with a school-best 28-6 record, including a perfect 16-0 mark in league play and 3-0 mark in the conference tournament.

USU's first appearance on SportsWest television will be on Wednesday, Dec. 8 when the Aggies host Utah at the Dee Glenn Smith Spectrum at 7 p.m.

Along with the two games on SportsWest, Utah State will appear on Fox Sports Net once during the 2000-01 season at Long Beach State at 6 p.m. MST Feb. 17.

Utah State will also play two games on ESPN this season, with a possible third appearance in the Big West Tournament Championship game March 10 in Anaheim, Calif. The Aggies host Long Beach State at 10 p.m. Jan. 11 and Cal Poly at 5 p.m. March 3.
