November 12, 2007 | Bringing music to the masses not
to mention the ages, Jethro Tull spun a web of enthrallment
unlike any I have seen before.
Jethro Tull performed to a sold-out audience last month
at the Abravanel Hall, an appropriate setting for a
band with no equal and a sound not easily categorized
in one music genre, Abravanel Hall added to the ambiance
and decadence these music legends create.
Ian Anderson was poetry in motion, with boundless
enthusiasm and an obvious desire to entertain his audience
to the best of his ability. Despite signs posted everywhere,
saying "No whistling, shouting, yelling or standing
so that others can enjoy the performance without distraction,"
Jethro Tull still elicited such offerings from enthusiastic
fans. Mixing together a classic blend of nostalgic tunes
and a wave of new songs sure to become favorites, fans
couldn't contain themselves throughout and responded
with zealous clapping and cheering between each song.
The U.S. tour has far been a smashing success and
Jethro Tull is consistently playing to sold-out crowds.
The band will wrap up the U.S. leg of its tour at year's
end and continue overseas in the United Kingdom and
many others locations.
