Car hits Logan pedestrian By
Myrica Hawker LOGAN -- Monday about 8 a.m., the driver of a vehicle owned by Utah State University hit a 46-year-old man in a crosswalk, causing him stiffness in his torso. Vincent J. Lafferty, 54, Logan, was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer east on 100 North when he hit David Farrelly, Logan, in the intersection of 300 East. Lafferty's vehicle was traveling at 15 mph, according to reports. An ambulance took Farrelly to Logan Regional Hospital evaluation of the stiffness he was feeling. Lafferty was given a ticket for failure to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
