American Journalism Historians bring Intermountain West regional to USU By
the USU department of journalism and communication
The American Journalism Historians will be presenting the 2001 Intermountain West Regional Conference April 6-7 at Utah State University, in the Old Main building, Room 115. The conference is in conjunction with the Region 9 meeting of the Society for Professional Journalists. The American Journalism Historians Association encourages scholarship and research in all aspects of mass media history. It has an annual, national conference in October. The national organization encourages the creation of regional conferences to give graduate students a chance to present their work in a friendly, supportive atmosphere and to receive feedback from peers and professors. This is the first Intermountain West regional conference, joining regionals in the Southeast and Northeast United States. AJHA conference participation and breakfast are free to students; AJHA conference registration is $10 for faculty (please make checks out to USU Department of Journalism).
