Utahns
like John Kerry, and apparently, Utah State University students do as
well.
John Kerry received 162 out of 349 votes Tuesday from voters at the
Merrill Library during the Democratic Presidential Primary Election.
"It was a constant stream of people," said Medlir Mema, president
of the USU College Democrats. "I thought [the turnout] was much
better than we expected."
Mema said high turnouts for the primary were seen throughout the state
with long lines to vote in Salt Lake City and with the Logan Municipal
Library location needing to print more ballots.
John Edwards received 102 votes in the USU election, with Dennis Kucinich
coming in third with 50.
