The water committee was created to find a location and develop a new water source and well within the next two years.

During a January meeting Cache-Landmark Engineering presented a conducted study on North Logan's future water rights and water demands. They evaluated that in order to meet demands in the year 2020. The city's water supply of four wells and a group of springs in Green and Water Canyon need to additionally supply a flow of 708 gallons per minute to fulfill future supply.

"The new water committee is a combination of those from the previous water committee," said City Administrator Jeff Jorgensen who is also part of the committee. Those involved are Mark Jensen, chairman of the planning commission; Ross Lapray, city engineer; Bob Wilhelm, utilities; and Terrel Huppi, public works. Residents Sherri Becker, Michael Homer, Dale Dout and Ron Tuttle are also part of the water committee project.
