The Academic Resource Center has only had one man in its office for the last four months . . . until he was stolen two weeks ago.

A life-size cardboard standup of Albert Einstein owned by the ARC was found missing on the morning of Jan. 17.

The cutout has been with the ARC since it moved into its new office in the Taggart Student Center on Nov. 26.

He was placed outside the door of the ARC with a sign that read "Even Einstein knows where the ARC is," referring to the change in location. The employees in the office stood Einstein outside the office when they opened in the morning, and took him back inside when they closed in the evening.

Einstein was more than just cardboard to the people who work in the ARC.

"He was the only man in our department, he was our diversity," said Carol Rosenthal, assistant director of the ARC.

The Academic Resource Center asks that Einstein be returned to them, and promises that there will be no questions asked upon his return.
