Completion of Science Learning Center is last piece of Widtsoe puzzle By
Kevin King
The final part of the Widtsoe construction project, the Eccles Science Learning Center, is near completion. A formal dedication of the building has been planned, but an exact date has not been specified. The Eccles Science Learning Center should be operational by fall semester. "There are still some possibilities for delay, like material deliveries are late, but there are classes scheduled in the Eccles Science Learning Center for the fall semester," said College of Science Dean Donald Fiesinger. The dedication ceremony will include an introduction of key contributors of the Eccles Science Learning Center. This building was entirely funded by private donations. The auditorium in the Eccles Science Learning Center is being named after Billie Emert, wife of the former USU president. You can view a time-lapse video of the demolition of the old Widtsoe building and construction of the new The Eccles Science Learning Center at the College of Science web page, http://www.science.usu.edu
