LOGAN -- Along with budding trees, green grass and singing birds, the
warming weather has also brought on the frequency of open windows and
unlocked doors that welcome intruders.
Police responded Wednesday night to a call from a USU women's apartment.
Megan Whipple reported that there had been someone stalking her roommate.
As the women returned home that night they noticed someone had come
into their apartment and gone through personal belongings. They found
a few things misplaced but nothing stolen.
Captain Russ Roper of the Logan Police Department said it had been
reported as an ongoing problem and the case was still under investigation,
however they had no suspects.
"It is not an uncommon occurrence," said Roper. "People need to make
sure that when they leave home and at night it is important to make
sure that their house is locked up."
