Two-lot subdivision gets green light in Paradise By
Leon D'souza PARADISE -- A preliminary plan for a two-lot subdivision owned by Danny Van Fleet was discussed and approved at the Tuesday night planning and zoning committee meeting. The land at 8800 South and 300 West has to have a road and water lines put in before the two lots can be sold, said committee member Jon White. Ryan and Tana Wardle have put an offer on one of the lots. "We want to start building by the first of May," said Tana Wardle. The road and water lines won't be in by then, but said White, they can start building if Van Fleet puts money into a town account for these things. This is done sometimes to help move the process of building a home along a little faster, said White, and can be done in this case if the Wardles and Van Fleet can obtain all the appropriate signatures by May, including the town engineer's. Martell Lowe, Jr. also applied for a kennel license Tuesday night. Any resident with more than three dogs must have a kennel license, said committee member Gene Forsberg. Lowe said he didn't know he needed a kennel license until Mayor Lee Atwood told him of the town ordinance. The commission also elected White to be the chairman at the meeting. The committee were all were in favor, except White.
